I like the new Thrawn - Grand Admiral, but that 19 cost elite really kills me. His dice are so good, but that’s really limiting as to who he can be played with. I eventually settled on Count Dooku - Corrupted Politician because I knew I wanted the deck to play with strong hand control due to Thrawn - Grand Admiral’s strong 2 side, and the general flavor of a Thrawn deck I think should focus on controlling the other player. So Count Dooku - Corrupted Politician has a power action that lets you rip a card from your opponent’s hand just by playing a blue card from your hand. Ideally, you’d play a blue removal card and both take away an opponent’s die while also taking a card from their hand. Lots of value there. Count Dooku - Corrupted Politician also has a pretty good die, two sides of 2 , a 1 , a 1 , and a 1 . That goes perfectly with Thrawn - Grand Admiral’s dice. The rest of the deck is designed around hand control and survivability. Cultural Records and Mastermind are great control cards, and work wonderfully since you’ll know what cards are in your opponent’s hand due to Thrawn - Grand Admiral’s ability to peek at the top 4 cards of your opponent’s deck. You will mostly empty their hand and know what they will have next turn. I added Shoto Lightsabers in there for a bit of extra survivability along with all the removal cards for those free shields, and I play one Close Quarters Assault, which Shoto Lightsabers also helps fuel. Due to the relatively low health pool and lack of action cheating, I’m not sure how competitive this deck will be, but it should be fun to play at least.
