Been running this Rey Chirrut deck and finding it very strong.

Chirrut sides along with light bow work perfectly to make a mixed range melee damage deck. Furthermore Misdirection becomes an all star thanks to Chirrut having two blue ranged damage sides.

Vibroknife and Holdout provide standard Rey Ambush shenanigans with great sides.

Standard turns often involve rolling out Rey then utilizing Chirrut ability to clean up any mess after his activation, probably one of the most underrated abilities in the game.

Not sure it's quite perfect yet but can easily be modified to taste. Enjoy!

I have been having a lot of fun with a similar deck as well! I agree the Chirrut's ability is under rated currently. With Mill being stronger, and having abilities like Asajj, his reroll of blanks tends to be clutch.

I use Anticipate, High Ground, and Use the Force in my version. Force Speed and Use the Force has set me up for some huge damage turns when all I roll are modifiers. I dropped Makashi training because I found that on Rey I always had Force Speed, Ambush Cycle, and Staff. It can't be played on Chirrut so it didn't make sense in the list a bunch.

Nice. I've often found that the Force Speed usually gets overwritten in longer games and Makashi gives that extra little bit of burst. Can also use it to remove opponent melee sides which is less than ideal but potentially useful. I think there is definitely lots of wiggle room there as you say to play to your tastes thanks to the solid foundation of the deck. Thanks for the feedback!

I like the idea of this deck. The limitation of little to know ability upgrades free's up space to put in more weapons and events.

Also in the Chirrut fanbase since a while now and finding him paired with Rey best so far of what I´ve tested (+Han and Baze). When you start doing some math on him you quickly notice that the ability is real good. Most interesting is that the 'bad' cards with double blanks become very reliable. E.g. DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol and Overkill loves him. I just can´t get a decent deck together with those colours. Rey is a different thing imho.

As 3 drop I prefer Force Push because of the 2 x 2 sides for helping out Chirruts +2. Apart from that agree on Makashi feeling iffy.

The character setup is odd since they prefer all the grey weapons over their own colour! They just need help with finding those and they´re set.

@nmetken Awesome catch on Force Misdirection in the deck. It´s hilariously good.
