Hi everyone! This is the deck that I piloted to the finals of the Tulsa Regional. I love Vader as a character and was pretty set on playing him after he was spoiled.

Quick side note on The Price of Failure--I get the fear of Coercion, but resetting Vader will win you more games than getting coerced with lose you. It needs to be in Vader decks. Just play around Coercion and don't get greedy. If you're playing against yellow villain, but roll out Vader before putting down the upgrade. You lose a die in pool, but it's so much better than getting locked out of the round.

Round 1--Bye from Store Championship W 1-0

Round 2--Rey1/Leia3 L 1-1 I got to get my feet wet at the top table against Zach Bunn. Action cheating and Hyperspace Jump put me way behind. Zach is a great guy and stayed to talk for a while after putting me away.

Round 3--eCiena/eBecket W 2-1 I found myself with two Vader Sabers after the mulligan. My opponent vandalized the first one, and just laughed when I played the second one. Fist dropped 10 damaged round 2. Great guy and great player who went on to top cut at 6-1.

Round 4--eVader/Greedo W 3-1 I won roll off and played Vader's Saber. He played Truce to get his own Vader's Saber while saying "I don't like doing this." That money let me resolve the Saber and roll Vader back in. This exact interaction is why I prefer Respite. I mostly just rolled better in this one.

Round 5--eTalzin/eBecket W 4-1 My opponent could not roll anything. I got Fist out and PA'ed to the disrupt to crush is ramp before it began. The loss didn't slow him down though as he went on to finish 6-1 and take top seed after swiss.

Round 6--eQira/eSnoke W 5-1 This deck was gross. My opponent told me I was his fifth straight Vader after losing in the first round, so this was a Vader killer. I rolled in Vader first action each round and prioritized claim to fight off Coercion. I don't remember much other than that.

Round 7--Solo Sabine L 6-1 I thought I was in good shaped, then Sabine hit for 8 followed by Hyperspace Jump, then hit for 9 for game. This player also finished 6-1 and went to top cut.

Top 8--eHan/eQira W,W Johnny was so much fun to play with. I would play 20 more games with him. He couldn't find damage on his ambush roll ins. PoF won both games.

Top 4--eYoda/eChewie W,L,W This deck was so cool. He would play Improvised Defense, then use Chewie-special to flip a die, hit for damage, then remove that die. I decided to get Vader's dice into pool and resolved before Chewie was rolled in. We split games and I was down big in Game 3. with no damage on his characters in round 3, I threw a Hail Mary with PoF and Friends in High Places to reset Vader and pulled out a Vader's Fist. Yoda went down. Next turn I manipulated my dice to show 13 damage and he only had a force illusion down. I played Unyielding for 13 unblockable for game. Crazy ending. I should have lost that one.

Championship--eTarkin/eSnoke L,W,L First and foremost, Ian is a phenomenal player. These games were tense. Game 2 was by far the most enjoyable game of Destiny I have EVER played. High level Destiny is so exciting to watch and analyze. I really cannot do our match justice other than to post a link to the stream. The commentators are Zach Bunn from Team Covenant, Sugi from Knights of Ren, and Eric Wainwright of #PadawanPride. Their commentary is pretty much spot on with what I was working through in my head.

Thank you to Team Covenant for hosting a very well run tourney. The TO was awesome and seemingly learned all 53 players' names. Thank you to my FLGS Hero Complex for giving us a place to play. Thank you to my play test partners who always make me better.

looks nice!

few questions:

1/ why you use force speed? what for? 2/ what is the purpose to keep a slot for unyielding?

@Rudisha_48 Thanks! 1. force speed was a cheap die i could remove for he doesn't like you. Resolving the special to reroll and resolve gets around a lot of vader headaches (anger, force jump, etc). I wouldn't mind swapping it out though. 2. Unyielding was awesome. Vader has huge sides and needs to kill people quick. There's nothing worse than playing mill and watching them shield up and drop a force illusion. Unyielding can also act as an All In for Vader's dice and Fist. Combine that with Vader's and Fist's huge sides and it can really help lock in the round 2 kill.
