I've tried to deal with the basic conundrum with Dryden, which is you're essentially playing a 1 character deck, which means you need a lot of control. However, you don't want to waste a Dryden special just to roll into a Hidden Motive or Overconfidence. Woof!
Most decks have gone with a red character (Pryce is an obvious choice). Instead, I've gone blue, using the Royal Guard as the primary defense mechanism. He essentially makes this into 21 HP of Dryden.
Blue also gives access to the Command Shuttle, which has a monster die with Dryden.
Much of this is season to taste, and some of the choices are just based on wat I happen to own. I opted not to go for the big blue weapons because they'll get dropped onto an already-exhausted Dryden, which means losing a round of use, while supports get to roll in that round. Heirloom could fit in though, being deployed onto the Royal Guard so it can redeploy to Dryden.
I like the Lotho Junkers, First Claim, and Quadjumper to give more of a chance to play cards from hand. Mulligan hard to get Cunning, New Orders, or Entangle.
