Was actually surprised how much I enjoyed this build. With maul’s ability it’s pretty much a more controlly version of kylo2/Talzin.
The only card that I think would only go in this deck and not other talzins is Dark Presence. The main draw is both talzin and maul having native discard sides but I feel it also really fits the theme of the deck, where your opponent can’t kill you if they don’t have dice. Also feeling less bad about hitting the discard side on maul is nice too.
Between maul’s ability, all those good blue removal cards, and dark presence(and to an extent talzin for blanking an opponent’s die or making maul more threatening to force removal)
Still a bit unsure of some of my upgrade choices. First night I played this deck I didn’t play a single saber, so I cut the deck down to 1 Heirloom Lightsaber because there’s no pay sides and I don’t have a maul saber. I could go with a second Force Rend but I haven’t seen any C3POs locally so I am not super concerned. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Doesn't Maul feel like a blue Cad Bane - Vicious Mercenary?? Terrible dice sides but you want to use his ability sooo badly. |

Not to mention with talzin you always get 1 side that you like. I am tempted to mess with a cad/talzin build at some point tho |
I think you need two heirlooms for overwrite & redeploy. If a characters going down it’s a free upgrade for your now sole character.
