It took some time, heavy playtesting and tweaking this deck. I took inspiration from these two decks: http://swdestinydb.com/decklist/view/9244/whysoangry-30persontournamentwinner-3.0 and http://swdestinydb.com/decklist/view/10453/emokidsedgelordeditionstorechampwinner-1.0

both authors are giving excellent advice (also in their thread).

I experimented with New Orders and Anger, but found them too situational. No Mercy costs too much resources (a lot of dice already cost resources, so 3 resources would be needed to resolve). Force Lightning generally adds an additional damage type and makes the deck slower, I think. Force Speed did not add any value to this deck.

How to play: Heavy mulligan for Sith Holocron and an upgrade. Except when you play against Palp, or some ranged damage deck, also keep Deflect. Don't keep upgrades if you don't have holocrons. Sometimes, I kept Datapad.

Get used not to claim, especially against fast decks. Also, think really hard which battlefield to chose. Often, it is an advantage to get the 2 shields on Vader. Do not fall into the trap that your claim action must be used on your last die. Only claim if it fits into your strategy! Play most upgrades on Kylo and protect Vader as long as possible. Datapad gives soo much value, because it ups your chance for a special on Vader, Kylo, Mind Probe or Sith Holocron (you can resolve them in the same action). I seldom play an upgrade (except Vibroknife, Datapad or Holocron) on my characters. Let the Holocrons do that.

I wasn't able to use Force Illusion and No Mercy, so I am thinking about replacing them.

If you see that the game will take longer, play out the Meditate, but never play it out if it doesn't give you immediate usage. Sometimes I just used it to reroll. Most of the time, you should be able to do some damage, with minimal rerolling.

If you are constantly rerolling, you are doing something wrong. If you are interested in more tactics or details, just ask - I am happy to provide them (also the decks this deck is weak against).

I took great inspiration from this deck to make it to the 3rd place in this store championship with a slightly differnt version of it! I for example just love No Mercy - I used it every game and taking out the opponents main character in the second round (with 5-7 damage) much to their surprise is quite "dark side-ish"!

And I must admit that I never had problems with resources with this deck. I often was able to p(l)ay my upgrades without the help of [Sith Holocron](/card/01016). And quite often I was even able to [Rise Again](/card/02076) in early midgame.
