Card Choices: Every Moe deck is essentially the same, but with a few different cards here and there. I run with a Bowcaster due to not having a second Rocket Launcher, as well as Black One, and Launch Bay because they were really my best alternatives with the cards I owned. I also experimented with a C-3PO but ended up replacing it with Cunning as I found Threepio to be a little slow in my play testing. I also originally had a second Unpredictable but switched that with a second Defensive Position In terms of the events, pretty standard, but I didn't include any Loth-Cat and Mouse or Friends in Low Places which I've seen a lot.
Went 4-0 with no cut.

This tournament took place at Hero Complex Games and Entertainment in Wichita KS which is my home store. We have a really great and friendly community so I would encourage all who are in the midwest to check out Wichita and give the KS Destiny community a try. Round 1 vs ePalpatine This was the matchup I was really afraid of the most. One character seriously devalues Thermal. The guy who pilots this deck is an excellent player and has trashed me many of times with this deck, but haven't played him with Poe Maz. I drew Fast Hands in my first hand and instantly put it down, and also had Hit and Run as well to not much help, rolling a disrupt, resource on Poe and double blanks on Maz. Later on my dice starting getting better and I was getting the upgrades/vehicles I needed. Luckily, Palp wasn't rolling a whole lot of damage, and I drew my Field Medics, Dug Ins, and Defensive Positions early on in the game. My opponent was able to pull out two Force Illusions and one Rise Again, but I had a Falcon and Bowcaster in my hand to bring it back down. He got both characters to within an inch of their life, but Maz ended the game with a +2 DL-44 and one gun. Great game versus a great player.

Round 2 vs Emo Boys Another matchup I was kinda afraid of with another good player who had drove in from Lawrence. We both had brought Emperor's Throne Room, I won the roll off and honestly misplayed taking mine. I drew Fast Hands on the first turn again and threw it down quickly, while while Vader was able to do 4 to Maz first turn. Next turn I had two New Orders in my hand, one I used to switch battlefields to the same battlefield to resolve a Poe special, and the other one was used by Kylo's special. He very smartly used both to do 4 to Maz and kill her. I managed to get Vader down to one health with a Force Illusion on him, and Kylo down to 3. I Poe special'd Cunning with Vader special and did 3 to Kylo and made him get rid of his Force Illusion because Vader would have died otherwise, and then ended it next turn.

Round 3 vs Vader Raider I had never played against a Vader Raider but figured that I need to get Vader off the board quickly. He threw down Fast Hands on Vader first turn, and then I did the same on Poe (3rd straight game Fast Hands first turn). I special'd a few things on him, but decided to claim kill with Emp's Throne with a Rocket Launcher to get rid of him even though I had cards I could have played, can't take the risk of him rolling double 3s. His Raider had about 6 health left, but just couldn't give him the rolls he needed. Planetary claimed for the win. Opponent did play well, good game.

Round 4 vs eIG-88/FN-2199 I had never seen this deck used before but it definitely looked pretty strong. It had taken down a Poe Maz the game before, so I was a little nervous. I ended up getting a Hit and Run, Fast Hands, Falcon and Thermal first turn (Fast Hands first turn all four games), and my opponent seemed to not like his hand as he mulligan'd five and still didn't get much. I'm assuming he was looking for weapons. I made quick work of IG by resolving a few specials, and with FN left he just didn't have the upgrades or dice rolls to make a dent. Resolved 3 for 1s for the win.

Really fun tournament with a lot of great players and decks. Gonna be retiring this one until Regional Championships, and might bring Vader/Traitor or Jango/FN or something to future store championships. One big reason I pulled out the win today was being able to pull Fast Hands first turn every game. Gives a huge advantage against any deck. Luck was really on my side because also I bought six packs and pulled my third Thermal Detonator haha! Thanks for reading!
