The two ties protect from die removal while Veers has the base ranged sides. with squad tactics and wingman you can roll out all your characters at once and your opponent cant remove your base/black damage dice.

If veers goes down first you will be in trouble with no base ranged sides to work with so holdout blasters(redeploy) should go on tie pilots asap to make sure they have some sort of base damage available. imperial discipline is used for its action ability to guaranteed base damage on Veers if you roll badly . Other upgrades are for more base ranged sides so assign them to whomever has the most health.

shield up veers when possible by taking opponents battlefield or using lockdown to take control of bf and use dug in. lockdown can also chain to take battlefield, ambush to "tactical mastery", play "we have them now" to turn 4 die to damage sides and then resolve (need 3 resources to pay for this combo)

salvo is a guaranteed mini "infantry grenade" explosion to use with veers' 2 ranged side

use cargo hold BF to move upgrades around your team as needed if they are about to die or swap an enemies weapons if you are about to kill them (move to a character about to die)
