Like everyone else, I saw Kanan Jarrus - Jedi Exile and the sweet combo with Kanan Jarrus' Lightsaber, and I thought "wow, that's great, but how do you keep him alive?"

Then, I saw the Vengeful Wookiee and thought "dice removal on a stick is really good, but how do I make it work with Valorous Tribe?"

These were originally two separate ideas, but it then occurred to me that I don't need to run three Wookiees to make VT worthwile. Enter Kanan-Wookiees, or "Kookiees."

The idea here is obvious: load up Kanan with great stuff, preferably his lightsaber, and keep the heat off of him using Valorous Tribe, which then ramps up both your aggro suite and your control suite.

Keeping Kanan single-die was a big shift for me, because it opens up Ewok Ambush, and it gives the Kashyyyk Warrior more teeth, and gives you more use of Wookiee Rage, which is an amazing card to pull early.

Respite will only be used on the Vengeful Wookiee, and only round one to get that extra dollar.

Early Kanan Saber, and the game is pretty much over, because it's incredibly aggressive and can't easily be stopped.

I'd say, take out Luke Skywalker's Lightning Rod and one of the Hidden Motives so you can add x2 Bodyguard

@thE_MAndAlORiAn that could be interesting. I am nervous about having 4 cards in the deck that give guardian, given that I already have Wookiee Protection. Seems like overkill to me, as the deck functions fine with just 2. I probably wouldn't make that change, but let me know if you test at all with it!

Man I thought I was clever for thinking of this. A card that seems very strong for this build is Inflame. It triggers Kanan's lightsaber and prepares any guardian ability you want to use.

I have always had a soft spot for Inflame (used to love it my Cassian Andor - Rebellion Operative/Naboo Palace Guard deck. I might have to give that a shot and see how I like it.

What about Riot Shield. Wookie is trooper and it works well with Valorous Tribe
