Solidarity deck is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. So better fill it with some nice cards and enjoy.

Went 2-1 with this on local mini tourney.

Loth wolf bond?

Definitely a great card for this deck and was considering it but I wanted to include more mitigation and had to cut it.

If you think about it Loth Wolf Bond could be used as defensive mitigation if you use it to active the two guards, gain a shield and then guardian

As much as Loth-Wolf Bond would be a great card for the deck, I think it was the right decision to cut it out. Good deck.

Loth wolf nullifies the guardian effect as well.

JerichoMesa 37

@amustoe it does? Isn't guardian an ongoing ability? Page 17 of the rules reference even has an example showing how guardian can interrupt the queue for a card effect.

@JerichoMesaand @amustoeYeah I just read what Jericho mentioned, and I don't see how he's wrong. Definitely check out the "queue" section and timeline type chart on page 17. Loth wolf does not nullify the guardian effect. Of note, given how the queue works, if the Jedi Temple Guard would die from the Guardian effect, he would have to do so before getting his shield from Loth-Wolf Bond.

Someone let me know if I'm reading that wrong! lol

No you guys are good, I was thinking about activating all three in a row if you're opponent hadn't activated or rolled any damage. But, Loth Wolf only activates two characters, and if you played it when damage was rolled by your opponent you could still use the guardian effect. My bad! Cool deck!

@helikaon i believe the guard would get his shield. Loth-Wolf Bond gives shields to up to 2 characters before allowing you activate any characters that received shields. The Guardian ability is a Before effect, so according to the timing diagram in the RRG, it interrupts the resolution of Bond after the characters gain shields but before the Temple Guard activates.

@flight799 I like the deck idea. Have you tested it with Old Man Luke instead of Rey? You lose Rey's ping damage but get much more reliable dice and Luke's extra health and tankiness. Plus, cards like Luke's Lightning Rod and Luke's Training are more effective.

@AeroEng42 Short answer is that I just don´t have Old Man Luke. But yes, he would be more consistent with base melee sides available (especially as these are a bit harder to remove). Total average damage from just the character would probably be around the same while enabling modified sides from Guards and upgrades more often would make him slightly better than Rey for getting most of your other dice. I found Rey ´s discard sides very useful though (it´s great to limit opponent´s rerolls and destroy some key cards occasionally). One thing Luke would be absolutely worse for is CQA and while this deck has only one copy of it, it´s one of my favorite cards in a melee based deck as it can wreck a turn for your opponent. Synchronicity would be harder to play as well. So while I haven´t tested with Luke I am guessing he might be slightly better but not by much.
