This is the deck I have been focusing my attention on since legacies dropped. Until Way of the Force dropped I had trouble pushing out enough damage to win, games would always been me one turn short on damage, but with the additions from WotF I have been consistently winning, or losing by an action, instead of a turn. I will do my best below to lay out my decisions, the deck is extremely tight and their are multiple cards that could be considered. This is just what has been working for me.

-Battlefield Weapons Factory Alpha - Cymoon 1 It should be pretty apparent why we want this battlefield, and with character dice we have a good chance of getting it. So far the only time I have opted to take shields has been against other vehicle decks that are running this battlefield. It gives a slower turn 1, but with some of the plays outlined below we can get out ahead.

-Characters- Doctor Aphra - Artifact Hunter She makes the deck work, BT-1, 0-0-0 and Hailfire all for cheaper. Her Dice are also very good, while she never seems to roll what I want her to roll, she can do work in a pinch.

Ciena Ree - Adept Pilot Ciena is here because she is cheap with a large health pool. Rarely if ever will you have the resources to bank on using her action, and her +2 ranged side rarely matches up with anything else. So health and the resource side is why she is here.

Dark Advisor I started my testing with Nightsister, and she is very good I prefer the indirect damage sides available on the Advisor, and the extra health goes a long way. His special allows for some nasty plays with Friends in High as well.

-Upgrades- We don't use any, I have tried Personal Shield, Force Illusion and some others but they just didn't make the cut. Personal Shield while amazing was too slow, and the pay side on the die hurts, a reoccurring theme you will see in this deck is that we are very tight on resources. Force Illusion, just hurt us so much. Between Aphra and Dark Advisor we run into problems milling ourselves, without help. Currently I am considering playing Ancient Lightsaber, but it will depend on how prevalent Mill becomes in the Meta.

-Supports- Cheap is the name of the game, we want to flood the board with supports and between Aphra and Weapons Factory we are looking to get either Kylo Ren's Starfighter/Sebulba's Podracer + BT-1/0-0-0 out turn one. Hailfire Droid Tank is also a contender for the turn one drop, being played for 2 resources with Aphra and our battleground, I am still not sure if it is the optimal turn one play or not. It does set us up better going forward, but I'm still leaning towards getting more dice out. Kylo Ren's Starfighter is for mono color decks, or decks that will focus on a single color. It is a two off because if we face a mono deck we want it, it pretty much allows us a solid chance of victory. Sebulba's Podracer is for rainbow decks, or if you aren't very good at guessing the color.

Planetary Bombardment is their as our big play. You will only play it with Friends in High Places, and it can be completely unexpected. Nothing will bring you more joy that playing two other supports and then Friends in High places for this on turn one. It will also make you enemies.

Their are many other "builds" you could use in your support slot that are all fine choices. Probe Droid is still one I go back and forth with. If I could have a 31 card deck I would include it. BB-9E for free isn't bad, but I'm not a fan.

-Events- Events have changed the least as I've gone through play testing. In my opinion their are 6 slots that cannot be swapped out. Those are the 2 Dangerous Maneuver, Free-For-All, and Relentless Pursuit. Friends In High while I've fallen in love with it, can be swapped out. The rest of the event slots are removal, and that is all personal preference. I've mentioned before that we are tight on money turn to turn, so 0 cost removal, as always, is good. For me I've found Under Attack, By Any Means and Crash Landing to be perfect. Bubble Shield allows for some of their down side to be mitigated, and then if 0-0-0 is out each one has the following effect of dealing 1 damage to an opponent and drawing a card. Pretty awesome.

-Tips and Plays- If you are aiming for Kylo Ren's special, then first action every turn should be to roll out the starfighter, and the second to resolve the special. The longer they have to play cards, the less damage it will do.

Because we are focused on indirect damage, it's hard to see how well you are doing. It takes a bit of rewiring, if you well, to gauge the pace of the game. While a contemporary deck usually only needs to be aware of how much health is remaining on their primary target it is vital for this deck to keep track of how much health your opponent has remaining in general. Relentless Pursuit and Free-For-All can allow for some quick plays picking off characters that your opponent will rarely see coming.

Friends In High Places We have the potential to hit the 7+ with just our character dice, and once we add a support or two then it becomes easier. If you have it in hand and are looking to make the play I'd start with rolling out the Dark Advisor and seeing if you get a special. If not then you need to decide if it's worth doing it blind or not. Before playing it always be aware of the board state, some times it is worth using it to play a mitigation card over another vehicle.

Partnership+ Aphra+ Ark Angel with two other supports + Free-For-All. This is the bread and butter burst play. Activate and roll out your 5 dice, if they hit more than 5 damage then use the dice, if not then Free-For-All.

Comments and Criticism welcome, especially if it is productive.

Oh the name! Ciena, Aphra and NightSister is how the name came to be. But we have Dark Advisor now. . . And the name stuck. . .

Just realized the deck list didn't update for some reason. So it is currently this -1 Probe Droid +1 Planetary Bombardment -1 The Best Defense... -1 In The Crosshairs +2 Friends in High Places

This deck is very interesting to me, as I am currently running a Aphra/Nute/Dark Advisor deck. I have been considering Ciena Ree for a while, but I just really like Nute's ability to disrupt an opponents strategy by milling those two card of the top of the deck. Pretty cool deck though.

@Toeko Just wondering, why did you call it "CANS"?

Crumpet_of_Conquest 101

'C'iena 'A'phra 'N'ight'S'ister. Although Dark Advisor in in the deck now instead of NS...

@Cool Cat for President Ok, that makes more sense. I was trying to figure it out but I just couldn't find out the reason. lol

My first thought was that the name refers to the droids who look like big tin cans. Nice list by the way!

`@flight799 beat me to it, but I 100% thought it referred to the droids, and thought maybe there should be more droids in the deck. ;)

@Cool Cat for President I like the idea of Nute, and for a trilogies format he would be my choice. I might just need to suck it up and try him, I'm just so used to Ciena and her 9 health. It is almost a crutch.

For the name, at first it was for the characters I was using as has been pointed out. The idea for the droid was always their but I never once thought about using that to reference the name!

Have you considered Pinned Down?

Toeko 72

I have, If I was going that route I'd probably consider Flank instead though. I know they are both solid but I have trouble with requirement based removal. Doubt and Hidden Motive are also both considerations. But deck slots are so tight I am not sure how I'd fit them in
