I'm curious how useful Jedi Robes are in the list. And only one copy Poe's Blaster and C3P0 seems risky. |

How often do you manage to get rey to deal her ability damage on round 1? Jedi Robes+caution are the only cards in your deck which allow you to get the damage turn 1 with rey. I have been playing Spirit of rebellion and I probably should adopt the jedi robes tech in my it binds all things build. Also why do you play hit and run? Given that poe2's dice are almost always used to fix rey2's dice and or upgrades what use does H&R have? You can't use it for the broken purpose it was designed for with poe1 so what is the big thing it does here? Finally I'm noticing a lack of resource generation in this deck. How did you manage to afford to play all the good cards in your deck when your seemingly only form of resource generation is resource sides on 2 cost upgrades and on character dice. (admittedly none of your dice have any pay sides except for the 1 pay side on rey's lightsaber). You aren't on logistics or it binds all things, while i'm on both, did you find yourself flush with resources every round? Or were resources tight? |
It really depended on the match up as far as resources went. Jedi Robes is a huge factor in that since it's basically just there to be overwritten. I've loved Robes since AWK for that very reason. More often than not, I used Hit and Run defensively, going for the Poe special with it. More often than not, I found myself using the opponent's battlefield and gaining shields that way for round 1. I almost always picked theirs if I won the roll unless it was a very unfavorable matchup to do so. |
Awesome deck, great work on your win. Time to be a jerk, but C3P-Poe is a crutch for players that don't want to be creative. I hope poe gets a massive nerf and 3PO gets banned. I admit, this is sour grapes a bit because I got wrecked in swiss last night by 2 poe/rey decks. The play is so robotic that it doesn't feel like it's being piloted, it's playing itself. Poe, 3po and poe blaster is very mindless imo. It's guaranteed damage every turn and that's what makes it unfair when playing a game base on dice rolling. Great job, you are just playing within the rules but this deck type is clearly head and shoulders above the rest and is basically easy mode. |
Well it's a crutch I only used in 3 games then. |

I like it. I won a small tournament yesterday with R2P2 and I agree that the Med Droids are very slow and less than great. They never really helped much except in one game where I healed twice and it really didn't impact the game a ton. How often did Hit and Run make an impact? It seems like such a slow deck, but I can see some nice surprise plays with an already activated 3PO and Hit and Run |
I love Hit and Run. I really used it for defense most of the time hoping to roll a special with Poe, but using it offensively was fun as well when I had either Poe's Blaster or and A280 on there. |
Congrats! Interesting version. I've been trying C3PO in my R2P2 but I don't like how it slows the deck down, and my version is a bit more built around speed and claiming the BF. Hit and Run into All In can be absolutely devastating. Have you tried that in this deck? It's won a few games for me singlehandedly. |
I tested with All In but I found that with the current list, I really needed more removal. Ended up adding Defensive Position instead, but didn't have the BF enough to really utilize it. Ended up going with Overconfidence instead. I really like 3PO in the deck, but I learned not to rely on him all the time. The deck is really built around keeping Rey alive and taking opportunistic damage when you can. |

@XeroHour have you ever tried just using Confidence. I prefer resolving an opponents die that doesnt gain them momentum (ie. resolving their disrupt 1 resource when you dont have any resources, or making them resolve shields or resources). I removed Overconfidence as sometimes i see that it rerolls them into higher damage. |

for villain, does anybody have a plan of how to attack this deck? I focused on Poe and his dice but then switched to hitting poe, but doing everything I could to keep C3po's die out of the pool. All it did was delay the inevitable as I run out of dice removal cards. I tried to pack Disarm in plans of taking out a blaster with it, but the real danger was C-3PO. I think next time I'll pack a Sabotage or two, just to be prepared and also bring a Sustained Fire to get around all the shielding if I keep playing ranged villains (credit to @whozeppelin224 for the idea). Rey/poe/3po + whatever well thought out deck like this one just has me baffled. |

Congrats on the win! |
This may be a bit off topic. I am still getting a handle on what is good in R2P2. Does everyone think (Partnership) just sucks and why? |
I mean, the only use you get out of Partnership would be with 3PO or Medical Droid really. Personally I feel like Hit and Run is a better option to steal an action since it isn't dependent on having either of those out. |
Thank-you |
A good Palpatine deck tears R2P2 up. With Palp, using his discards really disrupts this deck. Concentrate on Rey, then look for a chance to finish off Poe with a No Mercy big kill. Palp's splash damage will kill off shields, intimidate is not really needed. Use that card slot for something else. Cheers! Congrats on your win! |
No It Binds All Things, no Medical Droid is pretty interesting
