So the first time in a while I think we are in a pretty healthy meta, With regionals around the corner the meta is kind of wide open. Excluding the top 3 decks that are already on peoples radar. Sabine Wren - Explosives Expert & Ezra Bridger - Force-sensitive Thief, Qui-Gon Jinn - Ataru Master & Kanan Jarrus - Rebel Jedi and Bala-Tik - Gang Leader Ciena Ree - Adept Pilot Nightsister the 5 dice villain deck that explodes with a bunch of damage.

So now for the deck, Ole Emo Boys are back at it again, but with a more powerful Kylo by far! Kylo Ren - Tormented One is a nuts card, his dice alone is awesome and he has one of the best ability's in the game in my opinion. So many of the top decks right now are single colored decks and that is when Kylo can shine. I think the perfect pairing with him right now is Baby Darth Vader - Dark Apprentice. Thing is you can only play him with 1 dice and I still think that is fine. His dice is already good and the upgrades we can play on him make him a powerhouse already. Most of the time people always go for Kylo first so that lets a suited up Vader go nuts! The cool thing about this deck is we are an aggro deck but getting the resources for Rise Again isn't hard and you can get the money pretty easy. On top of that you can Rise Again either of the 2 characters! I've been winning a lot with this deck and I think it is indeed the real deal going forward for competitive play.

So, the upgrades, Lets first talk about what I'm going with and why? Dark Counsel is an amazing upgrade, its cheap draws cards, gets you money and has 2 focus sides! The card is great to have turn 1. Force Illusion is a obvious include for the simple fact that we are opting to not play Ancient Lightsaber with a melee weapon package. The card has saved me on numerous occasions. Force Speed is a auto include in this list seeing as we want to be as quick as possible after setting up to gun down the opposing player. You can resolve the special with Vader's destiny along with Mind Probe & Force Throw so it doesn't take any additional actions. So onto the important question I think I'm going to receive is why Sith Holocron? Rend has kind of fell off and holicron is zero cost anyways so it isn't going towards your resource cost of Kylo and Vader's pay sides, unless your rolling the special in. Holicron can go on any of the 2 characters and will be awesome no matter what, because both characters are really good! Also the 2 characters dice plus kylo's ability are good on there own so if you dont get them turn 1 you will be fine. I'll still play around with a melee weapon build eventually but as for right now this is the right build I feel.

So now, lets dive into the events I chose and why. As I Have Foreseen is a card I fell in love with. It is great to see what your opponent has for Kylo's ability and to see what mitigation they have for you once you roll out, and it has ambush! There is a lot of range decks running around so Deflect is very nice mitigation to have in competitive play right now. Doubt is a double edge sword sometimes but it cost zero and can be good at times so I think we play it. The interesting pick here is before the erratas no one played Intimidate but now with shields running wild its an auto include in most blue decks now. No Mercy is a awesome card and in a mono blue deck it is real nice to be able to just pitch your hand to nuke a character. Its saved me a lot of the time! Overconfidence is an interesting one, I'm not a big fan of it but as of late I've been really impressed with it so I'm taking it over Isolation and Feel Your Anger. Rise Again I talked about briefly already but being able to heal either of your heavy hitters and suit them up with a sweet upgrade from the discard makes you a late game powerhouse! This next card I really hate but Its a necessary evil, & thats ole Sound The Alarm! Now the card can be trash at times but also a game saver! Sabine has the combo play of Never Tell Me The Odds and you just blow that damn horn make her re roll everything!!! The card is very medium but for right now I like 2 its helped me more than it has hurt me, so it's growing on me.
