this is my personal take on Qui Gon Rey which came in the top 16 of U.K. Nationals this week just narrowly missing out on a perfect 7-0 run in the Swiss loosing out to my good friends vadar Royal Guard

As it's not officially released in the U.K. for another 2-3 days I don't have every card at hand but from first look I would swap out makashi training for shoto light sabres I also like the ancient sabres to add some or protection rom both mill and also adding a heal if need be, I would also try to squeeze in a funeral pyre possibly over a Luke's protection. The biggest change I want to try out is Kanan to pair QuiGon over Rey |

Why did you pick old rey over new rey? I'm having a hard time deciding which is better in this deck and want to know your opinion. |

A few reasons actually, the action cheating is always good and allows you to get dice into the pool with the vibro knife to use mitigation via force misdirection or to get guard activated also makashi training to remove a large melee die, secondly having 2 of reys dice allows you to use caution and still be able to hit the +2 melee side. Having 2 dice rey with the action cheating also makes the primary target a lot more difficult, you can take both shields from the battle field place them on GuiGon then your first action play robes onto rey then with the action cheating overwrite with vibro or makashi and have both characters shielded up ready reposte ready . |

Good reasoning with the action cheating for force misdirection and guard. With the new rey it's hard to know when to activate and make those things available to you. I do find that people are very likely to go after new rey in a build with her which is nice. I really like your build all around, though. Qui Gon is so strong with either rey and I'm super excited to run him with Kanan! |

If you ran new Rey in this deck you could not run her elite. 4 dice is stronger than 3. |

Thats true you could not run her at elite. It's possible that her ability, health, and better die make it worth it. |

I tried the new rey and in the slower match ups she was a lot better against rainbow 9s for instance that extra damage would make it a lot easier to take down the night sister of Bala in a single round. However loosing the action cheating meant against Poe maz and the new kylo the deck struggled as I couldn't get my shields up fast enough |
